Welcome to the fifth Mini Concert Monday.
Even though I’m on holiday this week, I still put together a little treat for you.
I’ve got Paolo Nutini, Lady Gaga and Keane lined-up for you today.
So we start off with Paolo Nutini. The gorgeous, Paisley boy from Scotland.
The song on the playlist, is New Shoes, live in London, in 2007.
I couldn’t find a good enough video of that performance, so I’ve added the video of him singing the same song, live at the Glastonbury festival in 2007:
He was in Dubai this year, live at the Irish Village, in March and I have to say that he was absolutely brilliant live.
Were you there? Did you see the gig?
Either way, here is a video clip (I wish there were better ones) to give you an idea of what he was like on the night:
Next up, Lady Gaga.
In May 2010, Time magazine included Gaga in its annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world. In June 2010, Forbes listed Gaga fourth on its list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world.
Recently, she scored a record-shattering 13 nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. She deserves them, her videos are very entertaining.
I am yet to go to one of her concerts but from all her gig reviews and live video clips, I can say that she is currently, one of the best live performers out there.
Here she is, performing Poker Face, live and acoustic in London, in 2009, on BBC Radio 1:
And finally, we have Keane wrapping up your Mini Concert today, live from the iTunes music festival in London, on July14th, 2010, with Everybody’s Changing:
That’s it for this week, tune in next Monday for more live music madness.
