Welcome to the fourth installment of Mini Concert Mondays.

The theme this week: Bands that I would like to watch live in Dubai.

Snow Patrol, Stereophonics and Phoenix.

So we kick off with Stereophonics.

They are a Welsh rock band, that formed in 1992 and that are fronted by the man with the golden voice: Kelly Jones.
He could literally read the list of items on a take out menu and make it sound like a lullaby.
I have never seen them live but people always wax lyrical about their gigs.

The song that I chose for you today is Dakota.
It was recorded on their sold out ‘Language. Sex. Violence. Other? World Tour’ on March 4th, 2006 and taken from their album ‘Live From Dakota’.

Next up, are Phoenix.

They started as a garage band, based out of a house in the suburbs of Paris and are a now, a Grammy Award-winning rock band.

“Lisztomania” is the song that I chose for you today, Live in Soho, on February 23rd, 2010.

There are no live videos from their gig in Soho, so I found you a video of their performance at the Coachella Music Festival, in Indio, California, on Sunday, April 18th, 2010.

And finally, this week’s last Mini Concert track is from, the one and only Snow Patrol.

All their albums are great, they are brilliant live, their frontman Gary Lightbody has written some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written and they are one of my favourite bands of all time.

The song on the playlist today is, “If there’s a rocket tie me to it,” from the iTunes music festival in London, on February 19th, 2009.

I couldn’t find a live video for it, so here is a video of them performing the same song, at T in the Park on July 14th, 2009:

Snow Patrol in a small, enclosed venue, is definitely the preferred way to watch them live.
So I also added a clip of them, Live on Later With Jools Holland, on November 9th, 2008, performing the same song.
